Verisae's Active Response Energy Controller with Data Builder

The Active Response Energy Controller offered by Verisae helps any organization reduce energy consumption, capture and retrieve sub-meter data, and benefit from Demand Response event participation. Our energy controls cover the measurement and record keeping related real-time energy consumption. Enable your organization to verify and audit results of your energy savings measures.

Energy Management Systems (CMS) are Internet-based applications that allow dispersed organizations to monitor, track, analyze, control, and optimize the performance of systems in one facility or across multiple locations. Packaged together with industry leading Internet- addressable energy data managers, Verisae offers solutions to the growing demands of efficient energy usage. Demand Response (DR) is a subset of demand side energy management, which also includes energy efficiency and conservation. DR is an integral part of a corporate energy management strategy.

Energy Management Systems (CMS) are based on the ability of a central control to monitor and facilitate a build’s energy demand and consumption. Verisae’s energy management solutions provide a full-range of quality services backed by industry leading hardware controls, web service enabled data managers, and experiences energy management professionals.

Digital Input types

0 volt return or 24 Vac (24 Vac must be the same as the supply 24 Vac). If a 24Vac signal is being sourced from the Plant controller power supply then do not ground the Digital Input common rail, this is grounded internally, only a 24Vac signal taken from the Plant controller power supply as an input is required. If using an external 24Vac signal i.e. not obtained from the Plant controller power supply then it is necessary to supply the 24Vac signal as well as the 0 Volt for the digital input common from the external power supply.

Active Energy Controller Features Summary

The Active Energy Controller with Data Builder is a versatile, Internet-enabled controller intended for facilities automation and energy management. This open source controller allows for end-use custom programming. The controller does not include an intrinsic program, but all of the inputs and outputs are available for use with either the on-board Data Builder or a Data Manager Data Builder program. Verisae does provide Demand Response (DR) event management and consulting. The Active Energy Controller combined with Verisae’s Energy Management suite provides web-based DR event facilitation.

Custom Energy Application Design and Energy Data Management

Using the tools provided in the controller toolbox, an end user can drag and drop the objects that form your application onto the workspace, connect up the objects inputs and outputs, and using the properties box set the appropriate values to enable your application.

Custom programming is simple through the web-interface or solutions can be pre-packaged with Verisae’s Energy Management solutions. The Data Builder (TDB) is a user-friendly programming tool for developing applications to run on the Active Energy Controller. The Data Builder has a vast library of functional parts that allow the user to build simple or sophisticated applications.

Business specific programs can be loaded via a DIN mount, 24V 2A PSU which is available for use with the Active Energy Controller (PR0625). This version allows for Modbus device connection, a USB Pulse Reader, web-services support and 40 GP timer channels. Logging of energy data and export of logged data is also available on this energy controller and may be coupled with equipment control logic to perform localized demand control.
