Verisae’s Solution Provides Opportunity for Retailers to Baseline Their Carbon Footprint
Washington, D.C., June 23, 2010 -- The National Retail Federation (“NRF”), the world’s largest retail organization, today introduced a carbon calculator for its members developed by Verisae, a global leader in Sustainability Resource Planning (“SRP”). The NRF carbon calculator is accessible for free via their website. Verisae’s solution is provided exclusively to NRF members.
“The NRF is very excited to be making Verisae’s carbon calculator available to our member organizations,” said Daniel Butler, vice president of retail operations for the National Retail Federation. “We’re confident that retailers will find this to be a very valuable tool to help further their understanding of sustainability issues.”
Using the NRF carbon calculator, retailers can measure their organization’s carbon footprint, establish a baseline, and develop the knowledge necessary to focus their sustainability efforts. Verisae’s tool helps members measure their progress against the retail industry baseline.

The carbon calculator will be available to NRF members shortly after Verisae co-hosts a webinar about what sustainability truly requires. Titled “The Sustainability Journey: Turning Talk into Action and Opportunity”, the webinar will take place Tuesday, June 29, from 2 to 3 p.m. EDT.
