Verisae’s Sustainability Resource Planning (“SRP”) Platform
Verdantix cites Verisae’s technology product suite for supporting Fresh & Easy’s sustainability initiatives
Minneapolis, August 17, 2010 -- Underscoring the impact of its innovative software, Verisae, a global leader in Sustainability Resource Planning (“SRP”) solutions, today announced that Verdantix, an independent analytical firm focused on sustainable business, cited the company’s work in helping grocery retailer Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market meet its sustainability initiatives.
Verdantix director David Metcalfe noted that Verisae plays a major role in the sustainability marketplace.
"Verisae has the technology acumen and product suite to make a considerable impact on companies,” said Metcalfe. “This reflects a new era of sustainable business software where firms seek a single platform to consolidate all sustainability data & initiatives."
In its July report, Verdantix ran one in a series of reports on corporate sustainability strategies and the use of sustainable business software. Fresh & Easy, the U.S. subsidiary of British retail giant Tesco, selected the Verisae SRP software platform in 2009 to support the collection, analysis, forecasting, and management of its sustainability data.
“We’re very pleased that Verdantix sees the value of our SRP platform and the results we delivered for Fresh & Easy,” said Greg Effertz, chief operating officer for Verisae. “Companies across the globe continue to gain significant benefits by employing our innovative software platform.”
The Verisae SRP platform provides asset, energy, and carbon management products integrated into a single technology platform. The software as a service (SaaS) sustainability platform is optimized to meet the unique needs of distributed enterprises with assets spanning a large geographic footprint.
Steve Hagen, director of procurement for Fresh & Easy, told Verdantix they chose Verisae’s platform because of the product’s ability to track emissions at asset level, its advanced functionality that enables a broad sustainable business strategy, and its proven refrigerant asset management results.
According to calculations by Fresh & Easy, the Verisae software has contributed to the organization’s more than $3 million per year savings on energy spend. Additionally, the report states that Fresh & Easy intends to increase their use of Verisae’s products to manage a portfolio of sustainable business objectives.
